The Question:I want to get flexible fairly quickly. I think being supple is important. What's the best way, and the least boring to become flexible so I can keep up the exercises. (I exercise twice a week hockey/running and have a very active lifestyle)- any suggestions?
The Answer:If you are inflexible, can't touch your toes for example, the best way to improve flexibility is stretching on a regular basis 4-7 days a week and always stretch before and after exercise.
You can perform a complete warmup and stretching routine in 15-20 minutes. Before stretching a 5-10 minute warmup will always help. Then if you just spend an additional 10 minutes stretching everyday (say, before you go to bed) you will make progress. Flexibility is not something that can be developed quickly it takes time and persistence.
