The Question:

First off, this is an absolutely great site, I can't thank you enough. Second, I would like to know if there is any way to get creatine and/or glutamine in my diet without supplementing? Are there any foods that contain these two naturally? If so, how much glutamine or creating do these foods contain?

The Answer:

Both Creatine and Glutamine are naturally occuring amino acids. Amino acids are protein building blocks. Protein comes from various meats, dairy products, egg whites, nuts and seeds. The human body has a way of storing very high amounts of Creatine and Glutamine to enhance recovery and muscle power, but it is very difficult to actually eat enough food to provide an ergogenic effect that supplementation will. Here is some information on creatine that will help.

I always say that the most important thing with any training program is working hard with a good program and eating good foods. The supplements will help, but if you can't afford them or get them don't let this completely detroy your motivation!
