The Question:I'm currently working out to try to increase my muscle mass and loose this spare tire i have. My question to you is: if i take Diet/Ripped Fuel during the day to increase my matabolism (so i can loose this spare a little quicker) will it affect my size gains?
Of course, this is coupled with a diet of (nothing fried) chicken, fish, rice and other high protien foods. I've read that you should break your meals up throughout the day to keep your muscles from being used as fuel-> is this true? My current stats: 6 foot 3 inches 186lbs (would like to be 200) workout 3 days a week with 25 min. of cardio each workout day. any help would be appreciated(workout info, supplement or nutritional)! The Answer:Fat burners, especially the ones that use combinations of stimulants (Ripped Fuel), whether they are synthetic or herbal, do work. However, they are not something that you should stay on for more than 8 weeks at a time. I prefer to cycle them with a 2 week on, 2 week off schedule.
While I don't like to recommend taking a pill or powder for losing weight, these will help to give you a boost. But, remember, they are not something that you should be taking all the time!
Stay focused on eating quality foods and training hard for the best results in losing body fat. I know of many people who have responded very well while taking Ripped Fuel by Twin Labs when combined with a good exercise program and a quality diet. Give it a shot but remember to cycle it like I mention above!

To answer your question about taking Ripped Fuel and building muscle size I can say that while is will be harder to gain size, it is still possible. It is not necessarily taking the Ripped Fuel itself that will make it harder to gain size. It’s the fact that you are also probably on a pretty strict diet (which you need to be to lose body fat) and your recovery processes might be somewhat compromised thereby slowing muscle growth.
Let me give you an example of a muscle size or growth time line. Let’s say you are in average shape and are classified as a beginner or intermediate weight lifter. If you are eating a good amount of healthy calories (protein, carbs, fat) everyday you can expect to gain about 1 pound of muscle mass every 6 to 8 weeks. If you were an advanced weight lifter these gains may slow to 1 pound every 6-8 months because as an advanced lifter you will already have built a certain level of muscle tissue and therefore be closer to you genetic size potential. Now, if we throw into this scenario the fact that you are dieting more strictly in order to lose body fat these size increases can take twice as long to occur. The mind set you must have when you are trying to lose body fat and gain size at the same time should be an understanding of this slower growth process. At times it may even need to be one of muscle maintenance. Just be aware of this and don’t get discouraged if things are happening slower than you would like.
There is a way to help to maximize your progress during these times of strict dieting. This involves the use of supplements such as Creatine, Glutamine, and fast absorbing protein powders like Myoplex Plus Deluxe or Met-Rx. Remember what I said earlier about how your recovery processes can be slowed when you are dieting strictly enough to lower body fat levels. |
