The Question: How much cardio do you recommend to go along with the "Get Lean" Programs?
I run 2-3 miles a couple times a week, do aerobic classes, walk and do other cardio
equipment, but what should I focus more on and how many times per week?
I have
lifted weights for a while, but just recently started your "Get Lean" Program for
a 5 day workout. I would really appriciate your advice, also the setup you have is
excellent and I am really enjoying the workouts, so thank you!
The Answer:From the amount of working out you do, you sound as crazy as me! :) You have to make sure you are getting enough rest and eating good food when you are training at this level. But, you probably already know that if you have been training this way for awhile.
In response to your question as to what you should focus on and how frequently you should do it, just click on this address to find out about training frequency and intensity for cardiovascular fitness.

This article will give you the specifics of heart rate training zones and maximum and minimum duration’s and frequencies of training. Exercising for cardiovascular health is really pretty simple. If you put in your training time, you will improve.
When I read your question it sounds like you may be actually wanting some information on performance increases rather than just basic aerobic fitness. This next address will outline a program for improving your 2 mile run times. You can also look at a program for improving your 3 mile run times if you would like. I developed these programs for a bunch of our members who need to pass these running tests for the military. They are tough but will definitely help in giving your training a boost. As you will see, the programs are based on a 3 day per week training schedule.
