The Question:

Hi! I am in my 3rd week of the Women's Program.I am also interested in burning some fat! How often should I do cardo training? I enjoy walking.

The Answer:

For now, you should look at performing at least 20 minutes of cardio work for a minimum of 3 times per week with your target or threshold heart rate at 60-80% of your age predicted maximum heart rate. You can push that up to 90% for a little more of a performance oriented workout if you would like :) and you can work up to 60 minutes of cardio 4-5 times per week. But, don't feel like you have to do this much I just mention it to give you some parameters.

To find out more about what this whole target heart rate thing is just go to the home page of Fitrex.com and type in Heart Rate in the Search Section and scroll down to the article titled "Simple Guidelines for Effective Aerobic Training".
